STAY ALIVE APP

The Stay Alive app is a pocket suicide prevention resource for the UK, packed full of useful information to help you stay safe. You can use it if you are having thoughts of suicide or if you are concerned about someone else who may be considering suicide.
In addition to the resources, the app includes a safety plan, customisable reasons for living, and a life box where you can store photos that are important to you.

CALM HARM APP

The urge to self-harm is like a wave. It feels the most powerful when you start wanting to do it.
Learn to ride the wave with the free Calm Harm app by choosing activities from these categories:
Comfort, Distract, Express Yourself, Release, and Random.

There is also a breathing exercise to help you be mindful and stay in the moment, regulate difficult emotions, and reduce tension.
When you ride the wave, the urge to self-harm will fad

Throughout life, we learn different skills and coping strategies for managing our emotions.

Sometimes those big emotions can become overwhelming and we dont always manage our emotions in the best way possible, or how we have managed them in the past, suddenly stops working.
